Sawhorse Ranger Workshops

Sawhorse activities allows students to explore and examine simple engineering concepts using household items. Some examples of materials used are play dough, pipe cleaners, popsicle stick and marbles to name a few. Each activity encourages meaningful play that is intended to offers a non restrictive experience to learn from failure and measure success in small steps. In previous sessions, students have gained confidence with initiating the first steps of projects without a specific outline, sustained improvement and perspective to problem solving while also learning to work with others. This class enriches a students ability to use cognitive and tactile processes other than traditional pencil and paper demonstration of understating.
